The M.D. of Ranchland Council is the legislative body whose function is to govern and serve as the Municipal Districts municipal government. Council is responsible for establishing corporate policy, bylaws and for setting the strategic priorities for the Municipal District’s residents, landowners and staff on an annual basis.
The Council is comprised of a Reeve, Deputy Reeve & Councillor who are elected by the citizens of Ranchland every four years.
The Reeve is the Chief Elected Official for the M.D. of Ranchland and has duties of both Reeve and Councillor.
Council meetings are held at the Ranchland Administration Building located in the Chain Lakes Provincial Park on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month, unless otherwise notified.
